Upcoming course on Causal inference

Published: 2018-08-24

LUPOP and EpiHealth will give a course on 'Causal inference with propensity scores and Mendelian randomization'

The interdisciplinary research networks EpiHealth (Epidemiology for Health) and LUPOP (Lund University Population Research Platform), host the course Causal inference with propensity scores and Mendelian randomization (3 ECTS) in October 2018. The course focuses on propensity score methods and Mendelian randomization, two approaches within causal inference that are widely used in observational research to deal with measured and unmeasured confounding.

The course is primarily intended for all doctoral students at the medical faculty that work with clinical or population data, but is also relevant for doctoral students from other disciplines that are studying health outcomes. The course is also open for postdoctoral researchers (course fee 5000 SEK, there is no fee for doctoral students).

Course leader: Anton Nilsson, teachers will also include Jonas Björk and Tove Fall.
