Haodong Qi (Andy Kin), Ph.D. student, received the Gunther Beyer Award for best paper by a young scholar at the European Population Conference in Budapest for his paper “Retirement behavior of the Swedish Notch Babies”.

Haodong Qi (Andy Kin), Ph.D. student in economic history with a focus on economic demography received the Gunther Beyer Award for best paper by a young scholar (below age 35 years) at the European Population Conference in Budapest in June for his paper  “Retirement behavior of the Swedish Notch Babies”.

Andy’s price was the fifth price received by a student affiliated to the Centre for Economic Demography during the spring of 2014; the second international one. Other price winners include Luciana Quaranta, Volha Lazuka, and Endale Kebede.
